THE JUNKFATHER / UPFRONT PRICING
Junk Removal Pricing in Knoxville, TN
The junk can be a surprise. The price should not be.
Here is a useful starting point for a residential pickup with The JunkFather. Send photos of what needs to go, your city or ZIP code, and your preferred timing. We will talk through the work and confirm your price before loading begins.
$150 minimum
Our minimum charge for a junk-removal pickup is $150. As a size guide, think of a pickup about the size of a standard, non-reclining couch, with no stairs or access constraints. Larger or more involved pickups may cost more. We confirm your price before work begins.
$150–$600 typical range
Typical residential junk-removal pickups range from $150 to $600, depending on how much we haul and the work involved.
This is a planning range, not a $600 maximum. Larger cleanouts and jobs requiring extra labor or special handling can cost more.

Alex and his crew worked their magic and really came through for us. I have a friend recovering from a some health concerns and was not going to be able to return home in the condition it was in. They worked with our budget, and were prompt, friendly and professional. They certainly went above and beyond. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. BIG THANKS to Alex!Posted on Google![]()

Junk Father was one of three places I contacted. They were by far the best priced and easiest to work with. They ask what items were being moved and gave me a quote based on that. Other companies wanted pictures and more details. Alex was great communication and very very fast and moving the things out. I would definitely recommend Alex and his team to anyone who needs furniture or items removed.Posted on Google![]()

What does a minimum pickup look like?
A pickup about the size of a standard, non-reclining couch, with no stairs or access constraints, illustrates our $150 minimum. Send a photo and your location so we can confirm.
A sleeper sofa, reclining couch, difficult stairs, or several extra items can change the work and the price. The couch does not get to bring a whole room of friends along on the same quote.
Need more than furniture taken away? Include everything in your photos so we can price the pickup together. See our furniture removal service or browse all removal services.
What changes your junk-removal price?
Amount, size, and weight. One small pickup is different from a garage full of furniture and boxes. Dense or unusually heavy material can need a different plan.
Access and labor. Stairs, a long carry, tight spaces, dismantling, and time spent sorting affect how much work the pickup takes.
Disposal and special handling. Tell us about tires, construction debris, or anything unusual. We will confirm what we can take and how it affects the quote before work starts.
The size of the project. Full-property cleanouts, hoarding situations, demolition, and other labor-intensive projects are quoted for their actual scope. They are not limited to the typical residential range above.
A real example: moving boxes that met the rain. One household had just moved in, and holiday shopping added to a large curbside cardboard pile. By pickup day, the boxes were cold, soaked, and heavy. We loaded them and cleared the pile. The amount and condition of the material matter when planning the work; this story is not a fixed-price offer.
The offer comes first. The hauling comes next.
1. Show us what needs to go. Text photos of the full pickup, your city or ZIP code, and the timing you have in mind. Mention stairs, heavy items, and anything that may need dismantling.
2. We explain the scope and price. Photos help us give an initial estimate. If we need a closer look or more information, we will tell you. We confirm the work and price with you before loading begins.
3. You approve. We get to work. We handle the agreed lifting, loading, and haul-away. Extra items or additional paid work are discussed and approved first, not quietly added to the bill.
No need to drag heavy furniture to the curb just to request a quote. Separate anything you want to keep, or point it out before we start. Any unattended pickup must be arranged in advance.
Junk-removal pricing questions
What is your minimum charge?
Our minimum junk-removal pickup charge is $150. For a size reference, think of a standard, non-reclining couch with no stairs or access constraints. The final quote depends on the items, access, and work involved. The $150 minimum still applies to smaller pickups.
Will my residential pickup cost between $150 and $600?
That is our typical residential range, not a guaranteed price for every job. Larger loads, difficult access, heavy material, and extra labor can put a pickup above $600. Send photos for an estimate specific to your items.
Is every couch pickup $150?
No. The $150 minimum uses a pickup about the size of a standard, non-reclining couch as a guide, with no stairs or access constraints. Reclining mechanisms, a sleeper bed, stairs, difficult access, or additional items may change the price. We confirm your quote before work begins.
Can you quote from photos?
Photos are a helpful starting point. Show all the items and include your city or ZIP code and preferred timing. We will ask for any missing details and tell you if an in-person look is needed before confirming the price.
What about hoarding cleanouts or demolition?
Those projects are quoted separately for their scope, labor, material, and disposal needs. The $150–$600 range is for typical residential pickups, not a cap on whole-property cleanouts or demolition. See our hoarding cleanout service or light demolition services.
Can the price change after I receive an estimate?
An estimate can change if the actual amount, access, or scope differs from the information provided. We explain the confirmed price before starting. Additional items or paid work require your approval before we proceed.
Ready for a quote that fits your pickup?
We serve Knoxville and nearby East Tennessee communities. Check our service areas, then send your photos, city or ZIP code, and preferred timing. You call the shots. We bring the crew.
