Alex and his crew worked their magic and really came through for us. I have a friend recovering from a some health concerns and was not going to be able to return home in the condition it was in. They worked with our budget, and were prompt, friendly and professional. They certainly went above and beyond. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. BIG THANKS to Alex!Posted on Google![]()

Junk Father was one of three places I contacted. They were by far the best priced and easiest to work with. They ask what items were being moved and gave me a quote based on that. Other companies wanted pictures and more details. Alex was great communication and very very fast and moving the things out. I would definitely recommend Alex and his team to anyone who needs furniture or items removed.Posted on Google![]()

Help at the stage of the move you're actually in
Before the moving truck arrives
Decide which furniture and clutter won’t make the trip. We can remove the unwanted items before they get packed or transported. The old recliner doesn’t need a seat on the moving truck just because it’s still sitting there.
After the movers leave
A couch, mattress, boxes, or other approved belongings may still be left behind. We can collect a few remaining pieces or discuss a larger clear-out. You don’t need a whole house full of junk to book.
Before the keys change hands
Tell us the handover date and exactly what needs removing. We’ll confirm which work can fit the schedule before you rely on an appointment. A deadline matters; it isn’t a promise of an unchecked same-day slot.
What can go? Unwanted sofas, tables, chairs, dressers, bed frames, mattresses, household clutter, empty boxes, and agreed packing debris. Include disconnected appliances or other bulky items in your photos so we can confirm the whole pickup.
This is unwanted-item removal, not a moving service. We aren’t packing your belongings, delivering them to your new home, or deep-cleaning the property. You keep control of what stays and what may be hauled away.
A REAL APARTMENT MOVE-OUT PICKUP
The tenant had moved. The sectional hadn't.
This customer had already moved out, but furniture and unwanted household items were still occupying the apartment. He needed the remaining contents removed to finish the move-out.
We handled the pickup and haul-away, leaving the living room clear of the agreed items. The carpet stayed in place. The moving list got shorter without another furniture-hauling trip for the customer.

Before: the sectional and remaining household items awaiting pickup.

After: the same living room following removal. This was a contents pickup, not carpet cleaning.
AFTER THE MOVE / BOXES & PACKING MATERIAL
The household settled in. The packaging settled on the deck.
At this move-in pickup, the customers were getting settled while cardboard, packing materials, and other unwanted moving leftovers were taking up their wooden deck.
We collected the agreed boxes and debris and hauled them away. The deck could be used again instead of remaining an outdoor unpacking station. Moving in can leave a removal job, too.

Before: moving boxes, packing material, bags, and other items on the deck.

After: the moving debris is gone, with the deck and the items left beside the wall still in place.
A simple removal plan for a busy moving week
1. Send the removal list. Share photos of the items, your city or ZIP code, preferred timing, and anything that must stay. Tell us about a firm move-out date at the start.
2. Agree on the work and price. We confirm the pickup details, property access, schedule, and quote before starting. Unattended collection requires advance arrangements and clear authorization.
3. Leave the lifting to us. Our crew removes the agreed items, loads them, and hauls them away. You don’t need to move heavy furniture outside before we arrive.
What affects the cleanout price?
Upfront pricing. No hidden fees. A couple of pieces left after a move and a property full of unwanted contents are different jobs. The amount, size and weight, dismantling, agreed sorting, labor, disposal, stairs, and other difficult conditions can affect your quote.
Photos help us start an estimate; some jobs need an on-site look before we confirm the total. You approve the price before work begins, and any additional paid work needs your approval first. Mention the whole list while we’re quoting, including the mattress you’ve just remembered in the spare room.
Before pickup: separate the keepers, not the heavy lifting
Set aside documents, keys, valuables, and belongings that are moving with you. Check boxes before marking them for removal. The person authorizing the pickup must have permission to dispose of the items; clarify anything belonging to a landlord, roommate, or someone else.
Tell us about stairs, building access, or unsafe conditions when arranging the job. Necessary gas, water, or hardwired electrical disconnections must be completed before connected equipment is removed. The JunkFather does not perform electrical work. Flag chemicals, fuel, paint, or unusual materials before booking so we can confirm what may be accepted.
Move-out cleanout questions
Can you remove just a few pieces after I move?
Yes. A couch, mattress, dresser, or a few approved items are enough to book a pickup. We also handle larger cleanouts. Send the full item list so we can quote everything together.
Do I need to move everything outside?
No. Leave heavy items where they are. We handle the lifting and removal from the agreed rooms or pickup area. Tell us about stairs and access limits while arranging the job; moving furniture to the curb is not a booking requirement.
Can you collect the junk before my handover deadline?
We can discuss the deadline and check the schedule. Share your required date when requesting the quote, and wait for us to confirm the appointment and scope. We do not promise same-day or next-day availability without checking.
Can I arrange a pickup if I've already left town?
Yes, with advance arrangements. We need authorized access, an agreed removal list, clear instructions about what stays, and price approval. Discuss how the work will be coordinated before leaving the property unattended.
Do you remove moving boxes and packing materials at the new home?
Yes. We can collect unwanted cardboard and agreed packing debris after unpacking, as the deck project above shows. Include mixed materials in the photos so we can confirm the scope. Check every box for belongings you intend to keep.
Will you pack, move my belongings, or deep-clean the property?
No. This service is removal and haul-away of unwanted items. It does not include packing, transporting your keepers to another home, deep cleaning, or repairs. Removal also does not guarantee a landlord’s inspection outcome or return of a deposit.
What should I send for a move-out quote?
Send item photos, your city or ZIP code, preferred timing, and what must stay. Mention the move-out deadline, stairs, or other important conditions. Photos start an estimate; we confirm the scope and price before work begins.
