THE JUNKFATHER / DEMOLITION & HAUL-AWAY
Light Demolition in Knoxville, TN
We handle the teardown. You plan the comeback.
That old shed isn’t getting any younger. The brickwork has overstayed its welcome. And a built-in grill doesn’t exactly roll itself to the curb.
The JunkFather handles light demolition in Knoxville and nearby East Tennessee communities. We dismantle unwanted outdoor structures, load the debris, and haul it away, from storm-damaged sheds to outdoor brick features and grill islands.
You decide what stays. We’ll take care of what goes. No need to turn your next free weekend into a demolition project.

Alex and his crew worked their magic and really came through for us. I have a friend recovering from a some health concerns and was not going to be able to return home in the condition it was in. They worked with our budget, and were prompt, friendly and professional. They certainly went above and beyond. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. BIG THANKS to Alex!Posted on Google![]()

Junk Father was one of three places I contacted. They were by far the best priced and easiest to work with. They ask what items were being moved and gave me a quote based on that. Other companies wanted pictures and more details. Alex was great communication and very very fast and moving the things out. I would definitely recommend Alex and his team to anyone who needs furniture or items removed.Posted on Google![]()

Choose the demolition and removal service you need
You don’t need to tear down a whole building to need a demolition crew. We handle targeted outdoor removals, whether you’re retiring an old feature, dealing with a damaged structure or making room for a different setup.
Shed demolition & removal
Unwanted sheds and damaged storage buildings dismantled and hauled away. Show us the structure and any contents you’d like removed so we can include the whole job in your quote.
Hot tub removal
Old spas removed from patios, decks and backyards, with dismantling when needed. Any required electrical disconnection must be completed first. We do not perform electrical work.
Outdoor kitchen & grill removal
Built-in grill surrounds, counters and cabinet framing taken apart and hauled away. More than a barbecue pickup: we remove the old setup so you can move ahead with your plans.
Playset & swing set removal
Backyard play structures dismantled, loaded and hauled away. We handle the teardown and the debris, not just the easy pieces. No weekend spent sorting mystery bolts required.
Other outdoor brickwork to remove? See the freestanding fireplace and brick enclosure projects below. Already taken it apart? Our construction debris removal service handles the pile. Browse all services for other pickups and cleanouts.
Outdoor brick fireplace & trash-can enclosure demolition
The brickwork had a long run. We handled the exit.
This customer wanted two old brick features gone: an outdoor fireplace and the enclosure around the trash cans. Neither was the sort of thing you could put out with the weekly trash.
We demolished the brickwork, gathered the debris, and hauled it away. The fireplace no longer occupied the yard, and the bins no longer had brick walls around them.
Taking it down was only part of the job. Taking it away finished it.

Storm-damaged shed demolition & removal
The storm left the mess. We brought the crew.
A windstorm damaged this shed and left the customer with a broken structure to deal with. We stepped in to dismantle and remove it, then hauled away the shed debris.
The photos show the damaged shed and the space afterward, with the concrete pad and equipment remaining. A shed coming apart shouldn’t leave the homeowner responsible for piecing together a hauling plan.
Have a shed that’s ready to go? See our shed demolition service for more about that kind of removal.

AFTER SHED REMOVAL

Outdoor kitchen & built-in grill demolition
The grill had its last cookout. The deck gets a fresh start.
This built-in grill came with quite an entourage: countertops, cabinet framing, and stone-faced sections spread across the deck. It wasn’t a matter of wheeling away a barbecue.
We dismantled the outdoor-kitchen setup and removed the debris, opening the deck space again. The surrounding wall and railing stayed in place.
The customer got the space back without inheriting the teardown. With a freshly finished deck and interior flooring to protect, this job called for moving blankets, careful cuts, and hand-carried debris through the house.

How our light demolition service works
01 / Show us what needs to go.
Text photos of the structure, your city or ZIP code, and your preferred timing. Tell us what you’re keeping, too. We need the job details, not your own demolition plan.
02 / An offer before the action.
We confirm what comes down, what stays, the necessary preparation, and the price. You approve the work before we get started.
03 / Down, loaded, and gone.
Our crew handles the dismantling, loading, and haul-away. The old structure doesn’t get replaced by a new pile of debris on your to-do list.
How much does light demolition cost?
Clear pricing. No plot twists.
A small shed, heavy brickwork, and a built-in outdoor kitchen are different jobs. Size, materials, condition, dismantling work, debris weight, disposal, and any difficult working conditions help determine the quote.
Upfront pricing. No hidden fees. Photos help us get an estimate started. Some structures need an in-person look before we confirm the total. Either way, we explain what’s included and you approve the price before work begins.
Have more that needs to leave with it? Tell us while we’re quoting so we can price the whole job. Any additional paid work is discussed and approved before it’s added.
Getting ready for the crew
Tell us which structure is going, what needs to remain, and about any known damage or utility connections. Keep people and pets clear of damaged structures; you don’t need to start pulling one apart before we arrive.
Any gas, hardwired electrical, or other service connections involved must be made safe by the appropriate qualified professional before demolition. The JunkFather does not perform electrical work. Tell us about suspected hazardous materials so any specialist handling can be addressed before the removal.
We confirm the project limits and any necessary approvals before work. This page covers targeted outdoor removals, not whole-house demolition or changes to a building’s load-bearing structure.
Light demolition questions, answered
For our service, it means targeted dismantling and removal of smaller structures or features, such as sheds, playsets, outdoor brick features, and built-in grill islands. Tell us what you want removed and we will confirm the work for your project.
Yes. Our quoted demolition-and-removal work includes the loading and haul-away we agree on. You are not left to find a second crew just to collect the pieces.
Yes. The shed pictured above was damaged by a windstorm, and we handled its dismantling and removal. Tell us about the damage before scheduling so we can plan the work. Please stay out of an unstable shed and leave the teardown to the crew.
Yes, we handle outdoor brick features like the freestanding fireplace and trash-can enclosure shown here. An attached fireplace, structural chimney, or load-bearing wall is a different project and must not be treated as the same removal.
Yes. We dismantled and removed the grill-island setup featured above, including its surrounding counter and cabinet structure. Tell us which parts you want gone and what should remain. Connected utilities must be made safe before demolition.
Yes. We agree on what comes down and what stays before starting. For example, the pad remained after the storm-damaged shed removal shown here. Need the pad removed as well? Tell us while we are quoting so we can discuss that work separately.
Call or text with your location, photos, and preferred date. We will check the schedule and confirm a workable time for the project. Tell us about a deadline early; short-notice work depends on availability and the job requirements.
Yes. You can book haul-away without booking demolition. Our construction debris removal service covers suitable renovation and demolition debris. Send photos of the material and tell us your city or ZIP code to get a quote started.
You've got plans for the space. We've got the teardown.
