Alex and his crew worked their magic and really came through for us. I have a friend recovering from a some health concerns and was not going to be able to return home in the condition it was in. They worked with our budget, and were prompt, friendly and professional. They certainly went above and beyond. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. BIG THANKS to Alex!Posted on Google![]()

Junk Father was one of three places I contacted. They were by far the best priced and easiest to work with. They ask what items were being moved and gave me a quote based on that. Other companies wanted pictures and more details. Alex was great communication and very very fast and moving the things out. I would definitely recommend Alex and his team to anyone who needs furniture or items removed.Posted on Google![]()

Household appliance removal, with muscle behind it.
You don’t need a thousand-pound cooler to get our attention. That one fridge in the garage is welcome on the schedule, too. We handle everyday household appliance pickups with the same can-do approach we bring to the bigger jobs below.
Refrigerators & freezers
Kitchen refrigerators, garage fridges, and chest or upright freezers. Whether it stopped working or you’ve simply outgrown it, we’ll take care of the haul-away. Cold storage shouldn’t become permanent storage.
Laundry & kitchen appliances
Washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers, and other unwanted appliances. Once the necessary connections are safely disconnected, the heavy lifting is ours. You’ve done enough laundry; you don’t need a second shift moving the machines.
Commercial refrigeration
Oversized store coolers, restaurant ice makers, and retired clinic refrigerators. When the equipment is big and the schedule is tight, call a crew that knows how to take care of business.
COMMERCIAL COOLER REMOVAL / A REAL JOB
Two heavyweight coolers. One call to the family.
A local liquor store needed to vacate its space. Two giant commercial coolers apparently hadn’t received the memo. Together, the units weighed nearly 1,000 pounds. They made a household refrigerator look like the little cousin.
This was no job for a polite nudge and a borrowed pickup. We handled the heavy removal, loaded both units, and hauled them away so the customer could get on with vacating the space.
Big equipment calls for a capable crew. They called the right family.

URGENT CLINIC REFRIGERATOR PICKUP
The clinic had work to do. We took care of the fridge.
A clinic needed its retired medical refrigerator gone at short notice. The staff had work to do; finding a way to haul a bulky fridge wasn’t supposed to be part of it.
We stepped in quickly, handled the removal and disposal, and got the unit out of their way. Consider the heavy lifting delegated. No need for the clinic staff to add appliance hauling to their job descriptions.

RESTAURANT ICE MAKER REMOVAL / BEFORE OPENING
The ice maker quit. The family clocked in.
The old ice maker had picked a terrible time to retire. A popular burger restaurant had an emergency replacement on the way, opening time getting closer, and one very inconvenient problem: the broken machine was still occupying the new one’s spot.
The staff had a restaurant to open, not time for an appliance-removal committee. They called us. We stepped in at short notice, removed the failed machine, and cleared the space before they opened for business.
They handled the burgers. We handled the unfinished business. The old machine was no longer standing between the staff and getting ready for the day.

How appliance pickup works
01 / Tell us what's retiring.
Send photos of the appliances, your city or ZIP code, and your preferred date. A replacement already on the way? Lead with the deadline. We like to know when the clock is ticking.
02 / Get an offer you can understand.
We agree on the appliances, necessary preparation, pickup timing, and upfront price. You approve the total before work begins. No mystery bill waiting in the wings.
03 / Leave the lifting to the family.
Our crew handles removal, loading, and hauling. You get the space back, and your friends stay friends instead of becoming an unpaid appliance-moving crew.
How much does appliance removal cost?
The offer comes first. The hauling comes next.
A household washer and two giant store coolers are very different assignments. The number, size and weight of the appliances, the removal work, and the handling and disposal needs help determine your quote. We price the job in front of us, not a one-size-fits-all guess.
Upfront pricing. No hidden fees. We explain what’s included and confirm the price before work starts. Photos get the estimate going; larger or unusual equipment may need a closer look before we confirm the total.
Got an old dryer keeping the fridge company? Mention everything you want gone while we’re quoting so we can price the whole pickup. Any additional paid work is discussed and approved before it’s added. You approve the work; we handle the heavy part.
Getting ready for the crew
Empty the appliance of food, loose belongings, and anything you’re keeping. You don’t need to wrestle it into the driveway; the lifting is our part.
Have gas, water, and hardwired electrical connections safely disconnected by the appropriate qualified professional before pickup. The JunkFather does not perform electrical work. Leave refrigerant lines intact and tell us about any leaking or damaged equipment before scheduling.
For clinic equipment, staff must remove medications, samples, and other clinical contents and confirm the unit is ready for ordinary equipment handling. Appliance hauling is not a medical-waste collection service.
Appliance removal questions
Can you remove just one household appliance?
Yes. A single refrigerator, freezer, washer, dryer, or other unwanted appliance is enough to book a pickup. The big commercial jobs show our range; your one old fridge is just as welcome on the schedule.
Do the appliances need to work?
No. We remove broken, outdated, and retired appliances as well as working units you no longer need. Let us know about leaks, damage, or unusual contents when requesting the quote so we can plan the right handling.
Do I have to move the appliance outside first?
No. Our crew can handle removal from inside once the necessary connections are safely disconnected. An arranged outdoor pickup is also an option when that suits you, but moving a heavy appliance yourself isn’t a requirement.
Can you handle oversized commercial appliances?
Yes. Large store coolers, restaurant ice makers, and clinic refrigerators are part of our experience. Send photos of the equipment and tell us your deadline. For fixtures, furniture, or a broader business cleanout, see our commercial junk removal service.
Can you help before a replacement arrives or a business opens?
Yes, we work around those deadlines when scheduling allows. The restaurant project above needed the old ice maker out before opening, with its replacement already on the way. Call with your timing and we’ll confirm the earliest workable pickup; urgent service depends on crew availability.
Do you disconnect or install appliances?
This service is removal and haul-away, not appliance installation or electrical work. Arrange for gas, water, and hardwired electrical connections to be safely disconnected before our pickup. Tell us what is connected when we discuss the job so the removal is ready to go.
What about refrigerant in a refrigerator, freezer, or ice maker?
Refrigerated appliances need appropriate refrigerant handling before final disposal. Leave the cooling system intact rather than cutting or draining lines yourself. We confirm the removal and disposal arrangements for your unit during the quote. EPA’s appliance disposal guidance explains why these units need a suitable disposal process.
Can you take furniture or other junk with the appliances?
Yes. Mention everything you’d like removed when requesting a quote so we can price the whole pickup. We also offer furniture removal and garage cleanouts when there’s more than an old appliance standing between you and your space.
Take back your space. We'll handle the old guard.
You have better plans for the space than storing something that no longer earns its keep. One fridge, a laundry pair, or commercial equipment with a deadline: tell us what’s ready to retire.
Send appliance photos, your city or ZIP code, and the timing you’re working toward. We serve Knoxville and nearby East Tennessee communities. Check our service areas, then call the family and consider the heavy lifting our department.
Requesting a quote doesn’t book a pickup or commit you to a purchase.
