Alex and his crew worked their magic and really came through for us. I have a friend recovering from a some health concerns and was not going to be able to return home in the condition it was in. They worked with our budget, and were prompt, friendly and professional. They certainly went above and beyond. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. BIG THANKS to Alex!Posted on Google![]()

Junk Father was one of three places I contacted. They were by far the best priced and easiest to work with. They ask what items were being moved and gave me a quote based on that. Other companies wanted pictures and more details. Alex was great communication and very very fast and moving the things out. I would definitely recommend Alex and his team to anyone who needs furniture or items removed.Posted on Google![]()

Playset removal without the weekend project
Taking down a playset is only half the job. Once it’s apart, somebody still has to load up the lumber, swings, slide, and all those awkward pieces.
That’s where our crew comes in. We handle the dismantling and haul-away, rather than handing you a pile of parts and calling it a day. You don’t need to borrow a trailer or negotiate a working weekend with your friends.
Show us the whole setup and anything else you’d like removed. We’ll talk through the job with you and include those items in your quote. The goal is one less project on your list, not a new pile beside the old one.
A FARRAGUT PLAYSET REMOVAL
Two generations. One well-earned retirement.
The couple’s kids had long outgrown this playset. Then their grandkids outgrew it, too. The family had moved on to bigger things. The playset hadn’t taken the hint.
At their Farragut home, it was long past its busy years: unused, taking up backyard space, and becoming an eyesore. After serving two generations, it was ready for a proper retirement.
The JunkFather crew handled the dismantling and haul-away. The old wooden structure was gone, and the couple had that part of the yard back.
The memories could stay. The playset had finished its shift.

After removal. The playset is gone; the lawn and exposed ground beneath it remain.
How our playset removal service works
01 / Send us the playset photos
Show us the playset and anything else you want hauled away. Include your city or ZIP code and preferred date. No demolition plan needed. That’s our department.
02 / Get your upfront quote
We’ll explain the work and confirm what’s included. Photos get us started; we’ll tell you if a closer look is needed before confirming the price. You decide whether to go ahead.
03 / We take care of business
Our crew handles the dismantling, loading, and haul-away. You cross the playset off your list without adding a trip to the dump underneath it.
How much does playset removal cost?
Upfront pricing. No hidden fees.
A simple swing set is a different job from a large wooden playset with a tower, slide, and climbing sections. Size, materials, dismantling time, and the amount we haul away all help determine the price.
Ground anchors, concrete footings, or unusual conditions can change the work. We’ll discuss those when they matter, along with any extra items you’d like removed.
Send a few photos for an initial estimate. We’ll explain anything we need to check before confirming your quote, and you’ll agree on the price before work begins. If extra paid work is needed, we get your approval before adding to the bill.
The playset may have come with complicated instructions. Getting rid of it shouldn’t come with complicated pricing.

After removal, another view. The same Farragut yard, with the old playset out of the picture.
Getting ready for the crew
You can leave the dismantling to us. Identify anything you’re keeping and move loose belongings out of the work area where it’s safe to do so. Children and pets must stay clear during removal.
Don’t climb on or enter an unstable playset to take photos. Pictures from a safe position are enough to start the conversation.
If the structure has connected lighting or another electrical supply, it must be safely disconnected by an appropriate qualified professional before demolition. The JunkFather does not perform electrical work. Let us know about any connected utilities when you get in touch.
Playset removal questions, answered
Do I need to take the playset apart first?
No. We handle dismantling as part of the removal. Send photos of the complete playset so we can include that work in your quote. No need to spend Saturday sorting mystery bolts on our account.
What kinds of playsets and swing sets do you remove?
We remove unwanted backyard playsets and swing sets, including wooden structures like the Farragut project shown here. Send photos of the full setup so we can confirm the work and price the removal.
Can the slide, swings, and attached sections go too?
Yes. We can include the slide, swings, and attached playset sections in your quote. Show us everything you want gone, and point out any parts you’re keeping.
What about ground anchors or concrete footings?
Those need checking before we confirm the work. Tell us about any anchors or concrete footings you know of. We’ll explain what can be removed and how those parts will be handled in your quote before work begins.
Does playset removal include landscaping afterward?
No. Removing the playset doesn’t include regrading, new grass, or replacement mulch. The Farragut photos show the ground left visible after the structure was removed. Tell us your plans for the space so we can explain what the removal will leave you with.
Can you take other unwanted items at the same time?
Yes, we can include other suitable unwanted items in your quote. Send photos of what needs to go, and we’ll confirm what we can take and price the work together.
How soon can you remove it?
Call or text your photos, city or ZIP code, and preferred date, and we’ll check the next available appointment. Working toward a particular deadline? Tell us when you get in touch.
